Provide care and see the world while practicing aboard a cruise ship!
We now have unique opportunities for physicians with experience in emergency medicine and ICU settings to provide care aboard cruise ships sailing around the world. The ideal candidate has a wide skillset between basic surgical care and outpatient visits and should be comfortable with some level of pediatric and geriatric care.
Generally, assignments last about three months, where you’ll work 10- to 12-hour shifts, 3 - 4 days a week (roughly 40 - 50 hours per week). You can plan to see both cruise staff members as well as passengers.
If space provides, there is an option to have a spouse or partner join you on your assignment. As part of your compensation, you’ll receive a room onboard, three meals per day, and a daily stipend.
These opportunities range across cruise lines and locations, so depending on availability and time of need, you may go out of ports such as: Vancouver, Seattle, San Francisco, Long Beach, San Diego, Galveston, New Orleans, Mobile, Port Canaveral, Miami, Tampa, Jacksonville, Manhattan. Norfolk, Charleston, Baltimore, Southampton, Dover, Rome, Venice, Barcelona, or Athens, but these locations are subject to change.
